Cynthia Bridges

A Certified Public Accountant, Secretary Bridges has been an employee of the Department of Revenue for more than 20 years. Previously, she has served as Deputy Secretary, an Assistant Secretary, Director of the Excise Taxes Division, Assistant Director of the Research and Technical Services Division, the Sales Tax Division, and the Field Services Division. She currently serves as Secretary for the Louisiana Department of Revenue under a third gubernatorial administration.

Bridges is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Earl Millet, Jr.

Deputy Secretary Millet previously served as the Regional Tax Director for the New Orleans Region, where he directed the activities of the largest regional office in the state. Earl is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of management and leadership experience. He has also served as a Revenue Senior Agent and a Revenue Agent.

Under his leadership, he coordinated the agency’s annual Super Tax Day, which assisted low to moderate income citizens in filing their federal and state individual income tax returns. He also coordinated the Department’s Mobile Tax Service (MTS) project, which provides on-site assistance to businesses and tax preparers in the resolution of taxpayers’ state tax account matters via a wireless Tablet PC.

Millet holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Xavier University of Louisiana. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Public Manager.

Clarence Lymon

Undersecretary Lymon has served as Undersecretary since 2004. He is responsible for the Office of Management and Finance, which includes the agency's enterprise services such as fiscal, information technology, human resources, and internal audit. Lymon has also served as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Tax Administration Group 3, manager of the Department’s Houston District Office, Revenue Senior Agent, and as a Revenue Agent.

Lymon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Nicholls State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Shone Pierre

Assistant Secretary Pierre is responsible for overseeing litigation and policy matters. She has also served as a staff attorney, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Office of Legal Affairs. Prior to working for the Department, she clerked for the late 16th Judicial District Court Judge Carl J. Williams, Jr.

Pierre graduated cum laude and holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Southern University Law Center. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the University of New Orleans. She is licensed to practice law in the State and Federal courts of Louisiana, including the Federal 5th Circuit Court of Appeal.

Murphy J. Painter

Commissioner Painter is responsible for overseeing regulation of the alcoholic and tobacco industries in the state, licensing alcoholic beverage manufacturers, native wineries, retailers, and wholesalers, as well as retail and wholesale tobacco product dealers, and enforcing state alcoholic beverage and tobacco laws. Prior to his appointment as Commissioner of the Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control, Commissioner Painter served in law enforcement.

Painter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Louisiana State University and a Master's degree in Public Administration. He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy and is presently a member of the Governor's DWI Task Force, chairman of the Responsible Vendor Administrators Board, and a 2nd Vice-President of the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators.

Jarrod Coniglio

Assistant Secretary Coniglio, a former Vice President of Consumer Banking for JP Morgan Chase Bank, specializes in collections and quality customer service. Jarrod’s knowledge and experience is in management and collections, and he has been responsible for the profit, growth and cash management control.

Coniglio graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Kurt Van Brocklin

Assistant Secretary Van Brocklin has been with the Department for 24 years. He is responsible for overseeing the Department's efforts to enforce tax compliance through an efficient and aggressive audit program. He has previously served as Director of the Field Audit Services Division.

Van Brocklin is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree.
