Yes.

The Louisiana Secretary of State and the Louisiana Department of Revenue maintain separate records.

Updating your address with:

  • The Secretary of State

  • The IRS

  • The U.S. Postal Service

  • The Office of Motor Vehicles

  • Your parish or local licensing agency

does not automatically update your tax account with LDR.
