LDR partners with OMV in Lafayette to resolve driver’s license suspensions

Updated August 26, 2025

BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) is partnering with the state Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) to help Lafayette-area taxpayers resolve driver’s license suspensions.

In addition to LDR’s Acadiana Regional Office on Dulles Drive in Lafayette, tax officers are now stationed at the OMV building at 3241 N.W. Evangeline Thruway, Suite A, Lafayette, LA 70507. This is LDR’s second satellite location dedicated strictly to resolving driver’s license suspensions. A location at the OMV office in Lake Charles opened last year.

The LDR staff assigned to the OMV locations cannot provide assistance beyond resolving driver’s license suspensions due to nonpayment of taxes or due to debts referred to the Louisiana Office of Debt Recovery (ODR) for collection.

For help with general tax matters, taxpayers must work with staff at LDR headquarters in Baton Rouge or at one of the agency’s regional offices in Alexandria, Lafayette, Monroe, New Orleans or Shreveport. For contact information, visit www.revenue.louisiana.gov.
