What are the additional reporting requirements for taxpayers filing consolidated sales tax returns, beginning with the December 2021 return filing period?


Beginning with the December 2021 tax period, consolidated filers must file and remit electronically and the state sales tax return will include Form R-1029B, Schedule B, requiring an itemization of all business locations reporting sales and use tax on the consolidated return including the designated primary location and out of state locations when applicable. This listing is required to provide accurate fund distribution and tracking. Form R-1029B must be completed correctly providing the location ID number and location address for each reporting location for the sales tax return filing and payment to be accepted by our system.
