Will the business be notified that I requested access?

Yes. LDR mails the business a letter that includes:

  • The business’s name and address.

  • The Letter ID number.

  • The Account number.

  • The name of the tax professional who has gained third-party access to the account(s).

The letter informs the taxpayer that the listed tax professional has obtained third-party access to their account(s).
