Important Announcement

Due to critical system updates and the Labor Day holiday, the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) will be closed from 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, through Monday, Sept. 7, 2026. In addition to the closure of all LDR offices during this period, all online services including electronic tax filing and payments and the Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point (LaTAP) portal will be unavailable as well. All in-person, telephone and online customer service will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

How long will it take for my payments to process?

Payments must be verified by the bank before they are posted to your account. This process may take a few days. Some payments require a manual review after the bank verifies the funds. In these cases it will take longer for the payment to post to your account. Note that the processing time does not affect the payment effective date. Your payment will post with the effective date that you defined when you submitted the payment, regardless of the amount of time it takes to process the payment.
