How can I check to see if my tax payments have been properly credited?

You can verify that your tax payments have been properly credited by using Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point (LaTAP), the Department’s secure online portal.

How to Check Your Payment History

1. Go to https://latap.revenue.louisiana.gov

2. Log in to your LaTAP account

   • If you don’t have an account, select “Sign Up” to create one.

3. Once logged in, select the appropriate tax account (Individual or Business).

4. Click “Account Summary” or “Payment History.”

5. Review:

   • Posted payments

   • Filing history

   • Current balances

   • Credits or overpayments

What You Can See in LaTAP

• Date and amount of each payment

• How the payment was applied (tax period and tax type)

• Any remaining balance or credit

• Notices and correspondence related to your account

If a payment is missing or appears misapplied, you can submit a secure message through LaTAP for account review.
